The Myth of Lower Weight and More Reps

The word toned is tossed around a lot these days and when anybody asks a question like this, they automatically say do more reps and less weight. But you really don’t have to worry about this. Toned means slimmer and tighter. That means that it’s a body fat issue and what you need to concentrate on is losing more body fat. That means you will need effective exercise routines that will build lean muscle.

That doesn’t mean you will be building bulk because as a women you really won’t be doing that much. So you can try to put that aside and my recommendation is life heavy weight and enough weight where you can do 8 to 12 reps max.
