Emma Thompson wrote the screenplay for Sense & Sensibility, for which she won both a BAFTA and a US Academy Award that year.

How do i become an actress, with no experience ?

I’ve wanted to become an actress for 2 years now , and im 13. I have no experience at all, but i do have a talent of singing, dancing, but now i want to become an actress. I’ve seen alot of young actresses my age now that were in movies and tv show when they were kids.

I would like to know if i have to start off small , but i also dont know where to start.
Pleaseee Help , this is one of my Biggest dreams that i want to accomplish.

Start with school plays. If you have school musicials – audition for them. Even if you don’t get a role, volunteer to work backstage. You get to see the real workings of theatre and get to know the director who will see your dedication and hopefully consider you for the next play. Also google community theater + your state to find a list of community theaters. Then contact all of the ones within 50 miles of you and find out when and where they have auditions, and if they are posted on their website or in the local newspaper. Get out there an audition. Most people don’t get a role the first time they try – you might have to audition 10 or 20 times before you get your first role. But every time you audition you are learning to perform in front of others
