In order to be an actress you need to ACT. So take advantage of every chance you get to act, whether it is in a local play or a local commercial. Acting classes in your city are also a good idea. If you're older, take singing lessons at church, or if there is a such class for adults, take acting or musical theater class, and then try out for a minor play. If they think you're really good, get yourself an agent.
