I’m currently working to build up my resume’ as an actress. I’ve done a commercial and a few student films and plays. I have the opportunity to do work as a character at Disneyland but I’m wondering if that’s a smart move career wise. It could open a lot of doors I think but I may be restricted in my ability to do other things cause of a set schedule at work. Just curious what other people think.
its good cause its a steady job and Disney always looks good on any resume. also you’ll be in the los angeles area so you can do tv auditons on your day off.
be warned thatworking disney is very monotonous. people tend to get bored working there really soon.
good luck
I think it’s a great idea because as an actress you want to have as much experience as you can so if I was you I would take the job and have fun with it so when you have an interview in the future you can say how you liked your jobs and you know how to work hard and whatever life throws at you, you can handle it! Hope I helped!

Oh yes. Is is probably the smartest move you can make with that career choice. I have had the privledge to work at Disney, and I tell you, I have not had a hard time trying to find a job after that resume boost from Disney. I am a musical theatre major, and it looks very good on that. In the simplest words, Disney is hard to get in to and maintain that job, especially as a character and other buisnesses know that. And also remember Disney has the best theme park entertainment in the world. So to answer your question…..YES!!!
