I have always wanted to be an actress and I think I’m ok at it but I live in Canada and I can’ really go to Hollywood or anything. Any suggestions?

The first thing you need is experience. If you are still in school, audition for school plays and join the drama club. You should also try out for local community theatre shows. Take as many acting classes as possible. Read some books on acting (those by Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Kristen Linklater and Jack Poggi are great). Be sure to get the support of your friends and family, they can help you a lot.

Do you think this means that he has feelings for you? I have this guy friend…he is much younger than I am but he is always telling me how photogenic I am and that I look like a really hot actress (which to be honest I see only a bit of a resemblance to). He is always asking for more photos. Do you think he sees me as more than a friend. We get on but Im worried about the age difference?

Just how close is this friend? If you don’t know him very well then I’d say he finds you attractive and he’s acting pervy but there are no feelings there. If you’re close friends then I’d say there are feelings there. The asking for pics thing is a bit strange so I’d be careful. Try asking him straight out what he wants pics for and see what he says. If he says he wants to be able to look at you or something stupid like that then just tell him he can look at you in real life like everyone else and don’t give him any pics.
